How to download high-resolution images
- Log in to your account on www.bridgemanart.com
- Choose images by clicking on the shopping basket icon (detail, right). ***You can do this from the thumbnail view in your search results, the image detail view or from the lightbox view.
- You may add up to 20 images to your shopping basket. When finished selecting images, the number of images in your basket will be on the top right. Click on Basket & Checkout on the right side of the gray search bar when you are ready to download images.
- Complete the Project section. You may select an existing project from the drop down menu, or click +Create new project.
- For new projects, enter a project name, estimated publication date and make sure to enter as many publication details as you are aware. See example, right. Click SAVE.
For CREDIT CARD clients
- Click Pay by Credit Card. You will then be prompted to use the price calculator and enter credit card details before you can download the image file.
For CREDIT ACCOUNT clients
- Click Review & Confirm.
- Review the images you have selected and include any special instructions (do you need a larger scan, for instance).
- Check the terms and conditions box at the bottom of the page (see detail, right).
- If the image is confirmed and you are ready for an invoice, please check 'I wish to be invoiced for this project' (see detail, right).
- If the image(s) is for comping only, we will invoice once we receive a license confirmation from you. NOTE: only credit accounts are permitted to download for comping purposes.
- Click Confirm and Download
- Your images are available to download. Although there is the option to download either as a group in a zip file or individually (detail, right), we advise clients to download each image separately. The zip file contains multiple images compressed into a single folder. An extraction program such as WinZip (PC) or Stuffit (Mac) is needed to open the zip folder.
- Click Prepare image download (see detail, right).
- On a PC, right click 'Download File', click 'Save target as...'
- On a Mac, click and hold 'Download File' and select 'Download to disk'
- If any of the images that you have added to your shopping cart are not available (either due to permissions restrictions or they are not yet scanned in high resolution), then they will be listed at the bottom of the order page (detail, right). Proceed with downloading any other images. Bridgeman will be notified automatically of the images that are not available and we will contact you regarding delivery within 1-2 business days.
- You are done! The images are available for downloading any time if you encounter problems or lose a file. Orders are saved in My Account, under Order History. Simply click on the web order number to download images (see below).
