Bridgeman has an exceptional collection of American Presidential history in our archive. The Chicago History Museum is a wonderful resource for historical images of the American Midwest including the Civil War and Lincoln's Illinois days. Peter Newark American Pictures is exceptionally rich in its holdings of American history including candid photographs of Presidents and campaign ephemera. Bridgeman also represents over eight hundred images from the The New-York Historical Society, a fantastic resource for among other things, Presidential portraits. In addition to Chicago and New-York, Bridgeman represents more historical societies than any other archive including: Pennsylvania, California, Virginia, Massachussetts, Dallas, Vermont and Southern Florida.
