Founded in 1965, The Peter Newark American Pictures Collection is an unparalleled archive of American historical painting, illustration and photography. Bridgeman Art Library is pleased to be the exclusive distributor of this world-famous collection. This collection is exceptionally rich in its holdings of Americana, the migration and settlement of the American West, and Native American imagery. Peter Newark collected fabulous snapshots of American history with everything from psychedelic anti-drug posters to photographs of Albert Einstein taking the oath of US citizenship to American Presidents engaged in amusing pastimes.
