When the high street sports retailer size? approached design consultancy Checkland Kindlysides to design a mural for their Bristol store, they wanted something which would reflect the city’s heritage, but in a unique and humourous way.

Victoria Webster found exactly what she was looking for when she came across Samuel Coleman’s St James’s Fair, Bristol on the Bridgeman website and has remarked that it has 'great impact' instore.

Packed with comic detail and an eye-catching palette and composition, the concept was based around the original St James Fair which was held on the Horsefair in Bristol near where the store is now based.
