Dublin Castle, the Record Tower (photo), Irish school, (18th century) / Dublin, Ireland / Ken Welsh Ireland’s capital city played host to this year’s FOCAL International Seminar
15/10/10. Hosted in Dublin Castle, the seminar focussed on the business of archives and footage. Panel topics included business models, marketing and branding, covering production and financial issues impacting on archives.
Harriet Bridgeman was part of a panel discussing how these models must change, alongside industry representatives from Europe and the USA including Paul Maidment of BBC Motion Gallery and Josh Rucchi of Getty Images.
With a keynote speech by Lord Puttnam opening the proceedings, the day concluded that there is a positive and exciting future ahead for the new digital age.
Alumni Award for Harriet Bridgeman
Personal and professional achievement is celebrated in Dublin on 5th November when Harriet Bridgeman, our Founder and Executive Chair, will be honoured by her Alma Mater Trinity College Dublin with an Alumni Award at this year’s ceremony.
The prestigious awards have previously been bestowed on such luminaries as William Trevor and Chris de Burgh; Harriet is delighted to be nominated.
