We are looking for a talented, bright and energetic person to join our small IT team to further the development of our internal and partner-facing business systems.  Supported by the existing team, you will be encouraged to take a leading role within the development team, and as such will need to be involved throughout the entire life-cycle of projects.

You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with users at every level of an organisation. Language skills in German or French would be a distinct advantage, as would experience working in an operational business, especially within the Picture Library /Media / Image industry.

This role would suit someone who has a good foundation in development and who is now looking to expand their skills into other aspects of the development process.

Skills Profile:
 
  • Experience of analysis and working closely with users to understand, develop, document & communicate requirements
  • Be able to quickly develop ideas and turn these into deliverable projects, with accurate timelines
  • Exposure to an agile development environment
  • Must have a sound understanding of technology and how it can best be applied
  • Excellent understanding of business processes
  • Excellent development skills


Technical Skills: Excllent

  • Visual Studio 2008
  • ASP.NET, C#
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 (Design and Development)
  • Browser based development


Technical Skills: Good

  • XMLJavaScript
  • CSS
  • A good understanding of Image technology
  • General Internet Technologies, WEB Services, IIS etc.
  • Some knowledge of Image formats and/or standards would be distinctly advantageous.
