Quality Control:
Working with Artist's Estates
Dave Nicol has been with Bridgeman for eight years and heads up the scanning department. Two ICG colour drum scanners speedily produce the highest quality scans of all types of transparencies.
The team has built up reciprocal relationships with key artists’ estates, including those of Picasso, Mondrian, Chagall and Matisse. This enables expert quality advice on inaccessible artworks during tight deadlines. Visits to exhibitions with image proofs in hand also help the team compare digital files directly with the original works of art.
