Harriet Bridgeman was invited to give an update on Artist's Resale Rights and the Artists' Collecting Society at the 9th annual International Copyright Law conference chaired by Professor Adrian Stirling of Queen Mary’s College, held in London on 8th-9th December 2009.

In the last 12 months, issues relating to digital rights management, piracy and peer-to-peer file sharing have occupied many column inches, not only in the legal press, but also in the national press. Other speakers included representatives from  Google, WIPO,  BBC and PRS for Music with delegates attending from the music, movie, publishing and television industries.

Artists' Collecting Society (ACS) was established as a collecting society in June 2006 to collect Artist's Resale Right (Droit de Suite) on behalf of member artists in the UK and overseas.
