CORPUS CHRISTI COLLEGE, OXFORD

Corpus Christi was founded in 1517 as a centre for learning by Richard Fox, Bishop of Winchester. Its library, containing a highly progressive collection of books and manuscripts in Latin, Greek and Hebrew, placed the College at the leading edge of research in the arts and sciences. The college's art collection also boasts some fine portraits and watercolours.
